Sense of urgency There was a lot of communication around Microsoft`s customer agreement (MCA, available October 1, 2019), but we heard that some Microsoft Cloud partners only informed their customers in recent days. We have received many questions about time constraints. We can`t predict how (some) Microsoft partners communicate with their customers and when, but we know that January 31, 2020 is the difficult date. Any customer who does not accept the MCA on or before January 31, 2020 can no longer receive cloud subscriptions after this data. Customers who start with an MCA partner in the Cloud Solution Provider Program (CSP) must re-sign the agreement for other channel purchases. So to start today, I`d like to focus on the changes related to the agreement that you have to sign as a customer, which allows us to provide cloud services on your behalf. Currently, as Microsoft`s CSP partner, we abandon all orders on behalf of a customer, and the customer then accepts and signs the corresponding Microsoft Cloud agreement.
Then clearPeople must confirm the acceptance of our customers by providing information about the Microsoft signatory. The partner customer is free to choose an authorized Microsoft Cloud Solutions provider that helps and places orders on behalf of the customer. When a partner is selected, the client can grant the partner administrator rights for its environment (cloud) and the partner is responsible for support. It is therefore important to choose your partner (supplier) carefully! As of November 7, 2018, Microsoft requires indirect resellers of the CSP program to confirm, through their indirect CSP suppliers, that their end customers have read and have agreed to be associated with the Microsoft Cloud (MCA) agreement. A partner cannot add/modify subscriptions via the Microsoft CSP channel without confirming their customer`s agreement on the Microsoft Cloud Agreement (MCA). Check the Microsoft customer contract to see if the confirmation was provided or not by this customer.
