During the call, Liberty Global will discuss its results and operations in 2015, including the results and Liberty Global Group and LiLAC Group, and expects to address the joint venture, comment on the company`s outlook and provide further forward-looking information. Liberty Global plc (NASDAQ: LBTYA, LBTYB, LBTYK, LILA and LILAK) and Vodafone Group Plc (LSE: VOD) announced today that Liberty Global Europe Holding B.V. and Vodafone International Holdings B.V. have entered into an agreement to merge their operations in the Netherlands into a 50:50 joint venture. The joint venture will bear its name under both the Vodafone and Ziggo brands and will create a nationally integrated communications provider with more than 15 million revenue production units, including 4.2 million videos, 3.2 million very high-speed, 2.6 million fixed telephony and 5.3 million mobile communications 4. Vodafone and Liberty Global are aware that their employees are essential to the success of the joint venture. The merger agreement between Vodafone Netherlands and Ziggo is subject to the usual consultations with the relevant company committees.

From 2021, the joint venture will achieve annual synergy savings of 210 million euros, well below the initial forecast of 280 million euros. According to a press release issued on 31 December, the Dutch joint venture 50-50 between Liberty Global and Vodafone has been concluded. The company is reported as VodafoneZiggo on The Dagblad Financieele On Monday. „This joint venture is good news for Dutch consumers and businesses,“ said Mike Fries, CEO of Liberty Global. VodafoneZiggo will be the most innovative provider of convergent communications services in the Netherlands, with a complete suite of leading television, broadband, fixed telephony and mobile phone products on the first day of the joint venture.
